WHAT: On February 7, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will reveal the new home built for the Almquist family in Phelan, Calif. The community and the media are encouraged to share in this celebration.

The media is also invited to attend a press conference to interview the Almquist family the following day (February 8).

WHO: The Almquist family who operates the Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary was just a week ago living in an aging doublewide trailer.  For all the dedication and hope they provide to the wildlife community, this deserving family will receive a new home and a state-of-the-art wildlife sanctuary.

Along with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s Ty Pennington and design team, a coalition of regional builders and suppliers stepped forward to donate their time and materials to this project.  They include, Murphy Construction Company from Hesperia, SC Homes, Inc. from Newport Beach, Steeno Design Studio from Hesperia, and David L. Manwarren Corporation from Rancho Cucamonga. With the help of the Building Industry Association (BIA) Baldy View Chapter and hundreds of volunteers and workers, the team built the Almquist family a new home and wildlife sanctuary in seven days.
